What else can you use behind Diamond Glaze?

I making scrabble tile pendant and I have anything else need but Diamond Glaze. None the craft store sell them or people just don't know what Diamond Glaze. I want my wood to have a hard and gloss over it. I have Sculpey Gloss Glaze, which I brought for my clay and I want to know will that work.
